This will allow us to address any questions you have, and discuss items including the numbers and types of biospecimens you may need to attain your goals for validating biomarker(s).
We ask that you use our TB Biorepository Application Format to submit your application for biospecimens. WE WILL PROVIDE the application format after our conversation with you. The application is designed so that your application will be sufficient for the Peer Review Committee to understand our key decision criteria, including:
Your application will be reviewed by the Peer Review Committee. If further information or clarification is required, we will contact you via email. If your application is approved based on the merit of your application, you will be provided notification of conditional approval, and the length of time your samples will be held for all Final Release Procedures to be completed.
If conditional approval is received, the following Final Release Procedures must be completed in order for your samples to be shipped:
Demonstration that any potential IRB / Ethics approvals for your specific investigation or use of the biospecimens have been obtained;
Funding for the completion of the investigation is in place;
Any other requirement for full execution of the planned study has been completed and documented;
The Material Transfer / Material Use Agreement is executed. This document will be jointly executed by the TB Alliance and the appropriate signatory representing the Applicant. The MTA will also address the publication of results and accessibility of commercial products resulting from the specimens. Each MTA will be tailored to the Applicant’s organization;
You agree to provide a timeline and progress reports for your research utilizing the samples awarded, maintain samples and data under secure conditions, and to credit the CTB2 Biorepository as the source of the samples in all publications.
We will coordinate with you closely to ensure completion of all steps.
